I bought a plant from the nursery today that was labelled as a nepenthes alata. I actually bought it for my brother, but I noticed on the label that it's frost hardy. Would that be right? If it is, then I'm keeping it! I didn't think that neps could cope with frost? Anyone know?
Thanks

I can tell you that there is no frost where N. alata grows in the wild! N. alata is hardy but it won't like frost.

Bummer. Looks like it's going to live in Sydney :(.
How frustrating if you can't even get the correct info off the labels. People here look closely at labels because we get such bad frosts. I guess the growers don't care, they've been paid. Thanks, you've saved the life of a rather nice looking plant!
