getting started

gday,ive never grow any carnivorous plants before,has anyone got some tips on getting started,growing from seed,etc i once had a venus fly trap I am into unusual plants with cactus my main passion with over 200 plants but hope to get hooked on something new?

Welcome to the society and hobby. There are plenty of CPs that you could grow in your climate. You can buy CPs in Australia. Just look at the links or jump onto eBay. Being in W.A. does make it hard to post plants to you from the eastern states. Seed may be an easier option.

ive been thinking about going on internet and getting a few seeds and giving it a go as it seems very hard to buy any plants here in perth as ive been to a few nurseries that sell venus fly traps,pitcher plants etc,all the plants they were selling looked have dead,all dried up,even at bunnings unless you know of any plant supplier here in perth?

Google primal plants and give them a try,
Also triffid park sends plants to wa ( costs abit more )
Exotica plants as well
